KHG Service Medals

The process of awarding any of these medals must be done through the Office of the Chief of Staff, only after the la'quv has approved the giving of the medals to any member of the Klingon Honor Guard.

Medals of Achievement
 
Highest honor of the empire. Must be awarded by a unanimous council vote. Presented to those who have given a lifetime of servitude to the empire, and have done so with unwavering honor and determination. Given rarely, this award is worn dead center on the uniform collar for all to see. The Medal of Honor is given to show that the recipient and their house is held with great honor and glory among the KHG and the Empire.
Medal of Honor
 
Second highest honor. This is presented only by the la'quv. Given to warriors who have served under the empire with great honor and determination. This medal is worn in a generally vertical position, dead center on the upper-chest portion of the warrior's baldric (sash), parallel to the edges of the baldric.
Medal of the Warrior
 
The Order of the Bat'leth is authorized by the Chancellor of the Klingon High Council and given by him or the la'quv to a warrior, or warriors, who embody the highest of honor in the Klingon Empire. To earn this award, one must be highly honorable and above all reproach. Such a one who is authorized to receive this medal shall be known as a Da'Har Master. Additionally, to earn this award, and the title of Da'Har Master, a Klingon must have fought 100 battles, survived 100 Suv batlh ["honor fights"] (duels to the death,) and trained 100 blooded warriors. Only the eldest of the elders in the Klingon Honor Guard will be considered for this award. Special dispensation may be given to a younger warrior who possesses the knowledge, wisdom, and prowess in battle that are warranted to carry this medal.
Order of the Bat'leth
 
The Order of the ghop qul, or Hand of Flame, is given by the la'quv to a warrior, or warriors, who embody the spirit and intent of the Klingon Honor Guard; that is, in accordance with the significance of the Klingon Honor Guard in Klingon lore, and the la'quv's vision of the Klingon Honor Guard, the recipient(s) of this award must represent the highest of ideals and values of the Klingon Honor Guard.
Order of the ghop qul
 
Awarded by a yo'HoD or above. Given to officers who have won a great battle and brought glory to the empire by doing so.
Imperial Star of Glory
 
Awarded to a warrior who has done great deeds for the KHG as a fleet.
Medal of Valor and Distinction
 
Awarded by any HoD to one of his beq. Given to a beq who has served his ship well, and has done so with honor. Can be awarded for long term commitment or valor in a single battle.
Medal of Glory
 
Awarded to any beq who has been severely wounded in combat.
Medal of Bravery
 
Awarded to any beq who always demonstrates vast knowledge of Klingon culture, language, ships and weapons. Any beq who receives this award will be designated as a 'proctor' or teacher, and should be available to assist members of the Klingon Honor Guard in increasing their own personal knowledge in these areas.
Knowledge Medal
 
Awarded to any beq who displays superior abilities in their assigned department.
Superior Abilities Medal
 
Medals of Commitment
 
Given to any warrior that has made a highly significant contribution to the KHG such as outstanding recruiting, attendance or participation.
Sword of the Empire
 
Given to a member who has shown a lesser degree of outstanding dedication to the KHG, compared to the criteria for the Sword of the Empire, but still significant enough to merit recognition.
Seal of the Empire
 
Awarded to any beq who always displays honor and loyalty to their HoD and the Klingon Honor Guard.
Loyalty Medal
 
Given to a warrior for performing his/her duties aboard their vessel above and beyond the call of duty.
Seal of Glory
 
Awarded by any HoD to his beq, or the council to a HoD, for overall improvement in performance of duties to the KHG. Can be awarded for a beq who is new to SIMing but learned and becomes a skilled officer, or a beq who betters his or her performance.
Medal of Redemption
 
Awarded by a HoD to his beq. Given to beq who have been active on their ship or on the council. Awarded for writing numerous logs, briefings, bios, or stories.
Medal of Labor
 
Given to a warrior for performing a special deed, project, or any recognition not covered above.
Fleet Commendation
 
Awarded to any beq who continually displays good conduct and a positive attitude.
Good Conduct Medal
 
Awarded to any beq who shows bravery and valor during combat.
Combat Medal
 
Awarded to beq who served in ground combat, or on any Away Teams.
Ground Combat Medal
 
Awarded to any beq who has participated in a relief and recovery mission to retrieve and restore a ship or colony.
Relief and Recovery Work Service Medal
 
Awarded to any HoD or beq who participated in a mission in which the KHG or the empire gained useful territory.
Territorial Gain Medal
 
Medals of Glory and Battle
 
Awarded to beq who served long periods of time in uncharted space.
Remote Region Service Medal
 
Awarded to any beq who participated and successfully completed the campaign at Pretrac 4; otherwise known as "The Search for Pok."
Pretrac 4 Campaign Medal
 
Awarded to any beq who participated and successfully completed the campaign at Donatu 4.
Donatu 4 Campaign Medal
 
Awarded to any beq who participated and successfully completed the campaign in the Kavrot Sector against the Bodak, Hasmin, Eugre, Ghana, Rokarians, and Mercans, collectively known as the Rokarian Alliance.
Rokarian War Campaign Medal
 
Awarded to any beq who participated and successfully completed the campaign in the Thellon Sector.
Thellon War Campaign Medal
 
Awarded to any beq who has successfully completed a campaign against the Borg.
Borg Campaign Medal
 
Awarded to any beq who successfully completed a campaign against the Dominion.
Dominion Campaign Medal
 
Awarded to any beq who successfully completed a campaign against the Kreel.
Kreel Campaign Medal
 
Awarded to any beq who successfully completed a campaign against the Romulans.
Romulan Campaign Medal
 
Excellence Awards
 
Given to any beq who has demonstrated constant excellence in the areas of advanced roleplaying, including advanced log writing, story writing, advanced knowledge of their character's species' physiology, technology, culture, etc.
Advanced Roleplaying Excellence
 
Given to any beq who has demonstrated constant excellence in knowledge of the chain of command and technological workings of the ship on which they serve.
Ship Operations Excellence
 
Given to any beq who has demonstrated constant excellence in knowledge of the weapons of a warrior, particularly the disruptor.
Hand Weapons Excellence
 
Given to any beq who has demonstrated constant excellence in the use and care of a warrior's bladed weapons.
Bladed Weapons Excellence
 
Service Awards
 
Given to any beq who has given distinguished service to the Klingon Honor Guard High Command.
High Command Service
 
Given to any beq who has given distinguished service to the Imperial Klingon space force (a.k.a. The Imperial Klingon Navy).
Naval Service
 
Given to any beq who has given distinguished service to the Imperial Klingon Marine Corps.
Marine Service
 
Given to any beq who has given distinguished service to the Imperial Klingon Fighter Corps.
Fighter Service
 
Awarded for any beq who has been on active duty in KHG for one year. This does not count LOA or AWOL status. Neither council nor HoD award this medal as it is automatically awarded after one year of service. However the beq's HoD or the council can deny this award if the beq has not acted with honor on active duty, or was absent frequently. Chief of Staff is to keep track of beq's time in the fleet.
Bronze Star
 
Awarded after two years of active service in KHG. This does not count LOA or AWOL status. Neither council nor HoD award this medal as it is automatically awarded after two years of service. However the beq's HoD or the council can deny this award if the beq has not acted with honor on active duty, or was absent frequently. Chief of Staff is to keep track of beq's time in the fleet.
Silver Star
 
Awarded after three years of active service in KHG. This does not count LOA or AWOL status. Neither council nor HoD award this medal as it is automatically awarded after three years of service. However the beq's HoD or the council can deny this award if the beq has not acted with honor on active duty, or was absent frequently. Chief of Staff is to keep track of beq's time in the fleet.
Gold Star
 
Awarded after four years of service, considered the highest honor of commitment. Any member holding this medal is an elder of the fleet. This does not count LOA or AWOL status. Neither council nor HoD award this medal as it is automatically awarded after four years of service. However the beq's HoD or the council can deny this award if the beq has not acted with honor on active duty, or was absent frequently. Chief of Staff is to keep track of beq's time in the fleet.
